PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 04, 2009 – In response to overwhelming public demand, North Shore Group Riding for the Disabled Inc (North Shore RDA) are issuing a selection of Christmas cards for the 2009 holiday season. The cards feature three different photographs of ponies and volunteers – looking suitably festive – at the Group's base at Stillwater.
North Shore RDA's president Brent Jenkin says, "Due to the popularity of our cards in previous years, we've doubled our print run for 2009, so this project is not only a lot of fun for everyone involved at North Shore RDA but it's an extremely valuable fundraising exercise for our charity." In order to give purchasers adequate time to meet NZ Post's international Christmas deadlines (30th November for International Economy to Australia & South Pacific and 23rd November for the Rest of the World) the cards will be on sale from mid-November. Ten cards cost a reasonable $10.00 and all profits go to North Shore RDA. For more information, please call (09) 426 8110. In producing this year's cards, the North Shore RDA would like to acknowledge the generous support of dPOD in Parnell and Fantasy Costume Hire in Glenfield. - e n d s - 5th November 2009 Editor's notes: High quality JPGs of the photographs used for the Christmas cards are available upon request. Info as follows: NSRDA OneHorse.jpg and NSRDA TwoHorses.jpg – The volunteers and ponies at North Shore RDA wish you a very Merry Christmas! NSRDA ThreeHorses.jpg – (from left to right) Sparky, Clyde and Beau wish you a very Merry Christmas! North Shore RDA's goal is "to provide therapeutic horse riding for people with disabilities to improve their physical, intellectual and emotional wellbeing." The Group have been at their present site in Stillwater for about nine years, but the group itself has been running for nearly 30 years. There are three sessions every week, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during term time, for between 80 and 90 riders with a broad range of intellectual and/or physical challenges.
