VANCOUVER, BC CANADA – Nov 6, 2009 – Goldbeck Recruiting Inc., a leading recruitment and executive search firm in Vancouver BC, reports a 50% increase in new job opportunities from April to September of 2009 from clients in the industrial, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

The number jobs in these industries made up only 8% of total new recruitment activity in April as compared to 30% in September. These new hires have been in specialized fields including manufacturing and production managers, industrial mechanics, mechanical engineers, and sales specialists.

Henry Goldbeck, President of Goldbeck Recruiting Inc. states: “We have been seeing hiring activity from a variety of industries such as distribution, retail, medical, pharmaceutical, construction and industrial. About 50% of the job opportunities is refilling positions vacant due to normal attrition, and the other 50% is from new job creation.”

It is hard to make any conclusions on the overall BC employment market based on the recruitment activity seen at Goldbeck Recruiting Inc. The strong 3rd quarter may be due to a combination of factors such as internal client loyalty, marketing drives, and a recovering economy. Overall, the outlook for the remainder of the year seems very good.
