Paramount Equity Mortgage Engaged in Predatory Lending-May Owe YOU Money!

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 04, 2009 – In May of this year, Washington State Department of Financial Institutions issued a Settlement Agreement in response to a lengthy statement of charges outlining very serious lending violations.

If you have a mortgage originated by Paramount Equity Mortgage in last few years, I urge you to read your closing documents and compare them to the lengthy list of violations outlined in the Statement of Charges (below) and seek advice on whether you have these very serious FEDERAL violations existing in your documents, including Truth In Lending Act, RESPA, and more.  

If you responded to one of their alluring radio ads about "Saving Their Neighbors Money" you probably had a "closing hangover" when you realized that you signed up for a little more than you thought: possibly one or all of: a pre-payment penalty, more fees than you thought, surprise balloon payments...  Oh yes.  They are really "saving their neighbors money" alright... In their own pockets.
