PR Log (Press Release)Nov 04, 2009 – Thursday, 5 November at 7.30pm: Aeronwy Thomas Celebration event

Invited performers come together to celebrate the life and work of Dylan’s only daughter.  Short presentations will include stories, anecdotes and poems, and contributors will include her son Huw, her publisher Martin Holroyd, Jeff Towns, Paul Ferris, members of the Dylan Thomas Society, representatives of the Dylan Thomas Centre and others, with music from Jen Wilson and Margot Morgan.

Free entry and wine – open to all.

Friday, 6 November at 7pm: Alun Richards Celebration in association with Parthian Books

Mumbles writer Alun Richards produced an enviable body of work, for TV, radio and in books.  Richards’ Dai Country has recently been re-issued by Parthian as part of the Library of Wales series of classics. Dai Smith, critic and biographer, and great friend of Alun, will be joined by novelist Des Barry to reminisce, swap anecdotes and celebrate the life of a great Welsh character and writer.

Free wine and nibbles provided by Parthian.

Friday, 6 November at 7.30pm: African Community Centre Youth Forum presents ACC’s Got Talent!  An evening of the very best music, dance and performance from the African and African Caribbean community and friends. Organized and judged by the young people themselves.

Tickets available on the door only £3/ £2 for Under 18s & Concessions

Friday, 6 November at 9pm: Dylan Thomas Festival Fringe event - Mr and Mrs Clark

Mr and Mrs Clark celebrate nine years with nine pieces of performance from their back catalogue. The performance will last as long as the selection process allows, and each scene or act will vary in length, dependant on the viewers’ choice. See www.mrandmrsclark.co.uk for more information.
