uTest, the world’s largest software testing marketplace, today reported that its community of professional testers and its customer base continued to grow rapidly in the third quarter of 2009. uTest also launched a completely revamped tester profile, which enables more precise matching of testers with web, desktop, and mobile app testing projects, and received rave reviews from members of the media and awards organizations.

Customer, Community and Partnership Momentum
During the third quarter, uTest grew its marketplace, and successfully:
• Acquired more than 30 new and renewed customers, including innovative industry leaders such as CoTweet, TokBox, Blender3D Live and Acquia
• Increased its software testing community of QA professionals by more than 2,000 to total more than 20,000 testers from 158 countries worldwide
• Signed a strategic partnership with Japan-based Looops to expand crowdsourced software testing and QA services in the Japanese market
Revamped Tester Profiling
uTest launched a dramatically improved tester profile, which enables the company to accurately match customers’ testing requirements with the right members of its global testing community. After capturing demographic information (location, age, gender, languages, experience), the new profile enables testers to define their hardware/software and experience, including:
