"Simplicity for 50p More": Comments on the Launch of TalkTalk Pro

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 04, 2009 – The UK's largest broadband TalkTalk today launched a new 'Pro' broadband package. The new deal offers customers 24Mb broadband with an unlimited usage allowance.

“With their new Pro package TalkTalk have essentially simplified their old system of ‘Boosts’ and stuck 50p onto their price.”

“TalkTalk’s current broadband package ‘Essentials’ – with an 80GB usage allowance and 24Mb speeds added on as boosts – would cost £14.49 a month, Pro costs £14.99 a month. 50p a month extra is hardly breaking the bank – especially given that ‘Pro’ users will be able to enjoy unlimited downloads – but for a brand striving to position themselves as the first choice for budget broadband it is a significant increase. ”
