If you are comparing the various different policies, you should ensure that before you purchase that you are adequately covered for each benefit. The cover on essential benefits is sometimes reduced by insurers to reduce the premium, which sometimes results in pet owners finding that when they come to make a claim they do not have sufficient cover.
Comparison websites can be an ideal method to finding the lowest premium for your pet but often they do not compare the cover offered by every insurer.

Healthy Pets offer three levels of cover, £ 1,000, £3,000 or £5,000 per illness, which gives pet owners a choice and there is an excess of only £65 per condition. There are no hidden extras such as higher excesses and percentage contributions towards claims when pets become older, which is unlike many other insurers. Conditions which are ongoing are covered and clients are able to keep claiming indefinitely for the same illness up to the value of the policy.
