Nov. 4, 2009 - PRLog -- Avanta’s Regent Street business centre now has the X-Factor following the creation of the new £5million pedestrian crossing at London’s Oxford Circus junction.
More than 32,000 people every hour pass through the junction of Oxford Street and Regent Street and the new crossing, opened on Monday by London Mayor, Boris Johnson, is based on the equally crowded Shibuya crossing in Tokyo.
“The new Oxford Circus crossing will allow pedestrians to cross diagonally from corner to corner, as well as from street to street,” comments Avanta business centre manager, Janiece Usoro, “ All the disruptions and road works of the past few months have been worth it as the new crossing is working well to ease congestion in the area.  We  know it’s a success, as our offices and meeting rooms in the business centre have a birdseye view of the crossing.”
