PEER 1 offers award-winning Managed Hosting to SMB businesses and Dedicated Hosting through ServerBeach on a ‘pay as you grow’ basis. Since May, PEER 1 UK has opened offices in Southampton with a sales team of 10 staff and successfully brought online its data centre in Fleet, Hampshire connecting local customers to its 10GB SuperNetworkTM. The company also launched the UK CloudXcelerator programme in July this year, with ElasticHosts as its first partner, enabling cloud service providers to accelerate secure and robust roll-out of their cloud infrastructure.

Greenprofs was one of PEER 1 UK’s first customers. It runs an online news site focusing on environmental news, events and jobs. Initially Greenprofs was launched as a group on LinkedIn, but it grew so quickly it needed scalable dedicated server bandwidth to support its 46,000 strong subscriber community.
John Horsley, founder of Greenprofs, comments: “Greenprofs has experienced tremendous growth since we launched in 2008. The increased traffic to the website has meant that in order to keep up with postings and uploads, we needed a hosting provider that could guarantee continued uptime. BullionVault.com is another recent customer to join PEER 1. It provides online gold trading services and needed global reach for its hosting with local points-of-presence to enable trades to transact immediately without latency that could affect the
trading price.
