Keith Lightfoot today became the first New Zealand songwriter to be accepted into the USA based “Positive Music Association”
MySpace has registered over 20,000 individual plays and No8Whyre regularly appears in the Top 10 music spots for New Zealand artists, featuring alongside Dave Dobbyn & Th’ Dudes, Steve McDonald and Parachute Band.
The music CD is aptly sub-titled, ‘Music for Lovers of Music’ with Keith Lightfoot and Andrea Mills providing strong vocal harmonies, and New Zealand legend Gray Bartlett making a special guest appearance in “Arise My Soul” with some beautiful lead guitar work. Mike McCarthy, Manuka Studios connects all the dots with his professional experience and provides string and percussion support.
“Being accepted as a Member of the Positive Music Association is a huge step for our music” says Lightfoot. “Not only does it provide an effective vehicle to reach out to the world, but is also connects us with like minded people”.
The Positive Music Association provides the largest collection of Positive artists and music in the world, and provides resources and networking opportunities for members to grow and market their music.
Scott Johnson is the co-founder and executive director of the Positive Music Association which sees music not only as entertainment, but as a way to create positive change in the world. His own eclectic mix of pop/rock, adult contemporary music aims to entertain as well as inspire and enlighten.
