Apple iPhone and iPod Touch users can now save money and conserve water by repairing their toilet with Cal's Plumbing Minor Toilet Rebuild application. According to the American Water Works Association, a leaky toilet can waste as much as 200 gallons a day or 73,000 gallons a year. For less than a dollar the Minor Toilet Rebuild app turns a cell phone into a handy DIY plumbing video tutorial. The app supplies homeowners with a list of the required tools and supplies, a mini-PDF manual and a live-repair video showing the job step-by-step. In addition, iPhone app creator Cal Campbell, a.k.a. Master Plumber of the Universe, is available via email to answer questions related to the repair.
This new for 2009 app is one of seven plumbing repair downloads that can be found through the iTunes app store. Cal's Plumbing Online offers the following iPhone / iPod Touch instructional videos: emergency shut-offs / compression;
