FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Nov 04, 2009 – diPoll.com makes new strides to take advantage of the power of social networking by offering Twitter integration to the users of their site.  diPoll is a free poll service which allows users to vote and create two-choice polls on any topic.  Users of the website (http://www.dipoll.com) already have the ability to rate and comment on each other’s polls, but will now have an unprecedented level of social interaction.

Co-Founder and CTO, Jethro Ma, says they are not finished yet.  “diPoll developers are on their way to harnessing the power of social networking sites. We have already integrated Twitter into diPoll to provide users with a convenient and streamlined way of sharing their opinions, and are currently working to unleash the features in Facebook Connect upon diPoll users shortly.”

Twitter is a micro-blogging and social networking site with millions of users worldwide, providing a platform to publish status updates and follow other users.  diPoll aims to take advantage of these social connections by providing users with an easy way to share their votes and polls to provide a more engaging and dynamic experience.

In addition to Twitter integration, diPoll also celebrates the conclusion of their first free online contest (http://www.dipoll.com/contest.php).  Open to users worldwide, the contest tracked the votes and ratings of every poll created in the month of October and assigned points to their creators.  diPoll congratulates the winner, akominek, who receives a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

Co-Founder and COO, John Maier, says there will be more contests to come. “Our first diPoll contest was a great success that showcased the creativity and resourcefulness of our users.  We will be announcing new contests with even more exciting prizes to followers of our insider blog, Facebook Fan Page, and Twitter Page.”

Several new features are currently under development by diPoll, including embeddable poll widgets for third party sites and enhanced voter statistics available for poll creators.  Advanced demographic information is expected to generate many marketing opportunities within the diPoll website.  Calvin Hung, Founder and CEO, explains: “We have constructed an engaging voting platform that utilizes the demographic voting statistics of the users to create smarter blending and targetted advertisements on diPoll.com.”

Development updates and announcements may be found at http://www.dipoll.com/blog.
