LAS VEGAS — Magician Jackson Rayne will make an official Guinness World Records™ attempt for the fastest escape from a regulation strait jacket on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. in the Entertainment Arena at G2E, the Global Gaming Expo, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Italian magician Alexis Arts established the current world record of 10.19 seconds on May 29, 2009, at Teatro del Fuoco in Foggia, Italy.
A featured performer in the international touring magic revue “Spellbound,”
“According to the Posey fitting chart, taller people should wear a large jacket. But, it also states that small chest sizes are eligible for a medium, which is not required by Guinness,” says Rayne.
‘This results in tall skinny guys wearing jackets that don't restrain them properly, which has made the world record a joke in recent years. I want to be known as the guy that did it right and escaped from the more difficult jacket. “
G2E 2009 is the leading trade show and conference event for the international gaming entertainment community, attended by more than 26,000 industry professionals from around the world. For more information on G2E, visit http://www.globalgamingexpo.com.
