PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 03, 2009 – The career of Nova Scotia artist Robb Scott is now saddled on the back of legendary race horse Somebeachsomewhere and set to ride to new heights.
“I consider this my best work to date,” stated the nationally recognized artist. “This drawing will be seen by many of the most influential people in the racing industry. I’ve worked my whole life for an opportunity like this.”
Mr. Scott, known for his hyper-realistic drawings and considered among Canada’s premier pencil artists, perfectly captured the stallion as he races toward victory in Lexington, Kentucky. Every vain, every bead of sweat and every piece of dirt is depicted in amazing detail.
The original drawing was commissioned by Brent MacGrath, owner and trainer of Somebeachsomewhere, and is valued at $10,000. It will be hung at Pye Chevrolet (468 Prince Street) in Truro, Nova Scotia.
Limited prints will be made available for sale to the public and as donations to select charities. Prints will also be distributed to major race tracks and breeding farms across North America.
