D&H Drugstore’s Free Vitamins Program Benefiting Hundreds of Kids

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 03, 2009 – On August 17, 2009, D&H Drugstore launched a program allowing parents to obtain one bottle of multivitamins free of charge every month for each child in their home. As of November 3, 2009, over 1,200 bottles of multivitamins have been given to children in Mid-Missouri.

“To say the program has been successful is an understatement,” says D&H Drugstore co-owner Triston Brownfield. “Today’s world can be extremely hectic for parents, and a healthy breakfast for kids can fall victim to their morning schedule. This is an easy way for parents to make sure their children, especially those between the ages of 4 and 12, are getting all of the vitamins and minerals they need every day.”

The free vitamins contain Vitamins A, C, D and E in addition to Vitamins B-1, B-2, B-6 and B-12.  They also contain Niacin and Folic Acid.  All are considered essential to the growth and development of children.  “We want as many children as possible to have access to these vitamins, so we will give away one bottle per-child, per-household on a monthly basis,” says Brownfield. “Parents must remember that they need to come to either D&H Drugstore location to sign up for the program and to pick up the vitamins.
