“The Guy” is accused of hacking into the GUIOPERA online at www.etfiction.com and inserting text not formally approved by Afamasaga and the LMLA-Ink team of the GUIOPERA, including associating several celebrities with the project. Some of the names “the Guy” drops in his upload include Vince Vaughn, Michael McDonald of MADtv, Queen Latifah, and Scarlett Johansson.
This is not the first time Afamasaga has pointed the finger for a false publicity stunt at Litigatti. In 2007, Afamasaga released a similar statement, blaming Metofeaz Litigatti, who is now understood to have vanished in 2004, for a stunt in which LMLA-ink claimed to have secured the signature of FOX News presenter Julian Philips to write a screenplay for the creative crew who hail from Chinatown, New York City.
In that same 2007 press statement, Afamasaga implicated Jon Le Mac, who is now understood also to have disappeared prior to the story breaking. In the latest stunt, “the Guy” says he spoke to famous Hollywood stars on the phone, while working for an Internet gaming company.
A spokesperson for LMLA-ink, Rocol, said she was shocked by the revelation, and that the Graphical User Interface Opera (GUIOPERA) format was “susceptible to hacker writers, stunt writers, Hijackers and Pirates of all sorts.”
Rocol added that at this time LMLA-ink has not yet decided whether to press charges since authorities have had no luck in locating “the Guy” in the past. Authorities have asked LMLA-ink to leave the unapproved text up at www.etfiction.com as evidence while they further investigate the matter.
