California Moms tell Sacramento “Don’t make us come up there!”

California Mom Founds Group for Common Sense MOMS Feeling Ignored!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Nov 03, 2009 – (LOS ANGELES, CA) October 23, 2009 – Is the Audience Listening?  You would think founder Michelle Green of AsaCaliMom.com was talking about the Sound Editorial Company she and her husband run…but not the case!  When Michelle felt that her government representatives stopped hearing her, she formed the group AsACaliMom.Com to organize others in California feeling ignored, and not represented.

Grassroots organizations seem to be popping up like weeds these days. A quick search of the internet will bring up dozens of groups formed around the discontent of “the people.”  The formerly silent majority is no longer willing to stay that way.  People of all shapes, sizes, economic levels, races, religions and political stripes are itching to make their voices heard.  But who is listening?

When Michelle Green got wind of an upcoming Rally in Washington D.C. on August 14, 2010, she knew she would be unable to attend.  Therefore, Michelle got out the laptop and formed her own grassroots organization.  AsACaliMom.com is a new website calling for accountability, transparency and responsibility from our elected officials.  The site is also the touch point for the rally Green has planned to coincide with the D.C. rally on August 14, 2010.  The intended purpose of our rally is to alert our elected officials to the discontent of “We The People” as to their disregard for the wants and needs of their constituents; fiscal irresponsibility; social engineering and nanny laws; and the undermining of our founding principles!  We feel the rally in August is the perfect time before the 2010 election to shake things up in California and D.C. and possibly hand out some “Pink Slips!”

Michelle Green reportedly said, “As a MOM, I haven’t always paid attention to the big picture of what our country will look like when my kids are thriving adults.  But as I awake from my nap, and look at the possibility of “could be” 20 years, I am truly jaw droopingly disgusted!  When I read Grover Cleveland’s words, “The people support the Government, the Government should not support the people.”  I knew that as a Mom I needed to make a difference whether it is big or small.  I have to lead by example for my kids.  I must preserve their freedoms for the future, the freedoms that I have enjoyed thus far in my own life.”
“The website is open to anyone who wants to participate” says, Laura, the PR Director for AsACaliMom.  “We welcome anyone who wants to make their voice heard.  For too long, too many have felt that their voices don’t matter and we want to change that mindset.  When we gather together with others who have the same concerns, the impact of our voices will be multiplied.  We want people to realize they can make a difference and that our elected officials will listen if we make the effort – and if they don’t listen, they won’t hold office for long. We want to send a reminder to many of those officials that they should never have forgotten that our government is “Of the people, by the people, and for the people.”
