Atlantic Housing Foundation wants to recognize the generous donation of NAHTEF HOLDINGS, Inc. and its commitment to the residents of The Brampton Court Apartments in Lauderhill, Florida. Because of NAHTEF’s generous donation, the Residents of Brampton Court have been provided additional services and resources that had previously been suspended.
The Brampton Court Apartments lost their playground equipment and was working to find replacement equipment. In addition, the property’s Business Center was closed due to outdated equipment and remodeling needs.
Both of these amenities play a vital role in helping Atlantic Housing Foundation accomplish its mission of providing quality affordable housing and related services to the residents. The Brampton Court Community has been privileged to provide after school programs, day care services and adult activities on a regular basis. When the Business Center was closed, many resident children had no access to computers for homework and web based after school learning activities. In addition, many adults found it difficult to actively look for jobs and prepare resumes. The Business Center was the only computer access available to many residents.
For the children, the playground represented a place to go and have fun and develop a sense of community with other resident children and their families. In addition, the playground area provided an additional resource to The Gulf Stream Baptist Association as they provide afterschool programs and activities to the residents of the Brampton Court Apartments.
