Cold Control’s Engineers Are Leading The Way With F gas Certifications

Cold Control, the award winning air-conditioning and refrigeration specialists are setting industry presidents with the certification of their highly skilled engineers in the Safe Handling Qualification in F gases.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Nov 03, 2009 – Cold Control, the award winning air-conditioning and refrigeration specialists are setting industry presidents with the certification of their highly skilled engineers in the Safe Handling Qualification in F gases.

Cold Control have responded to the new regulation passed in March 2009, the EC Regulation 842/2006 on certain fluorinated greenhouse gases, by ensuring their service engineers are fully compliant and provide a competent service to benefit all their clients.

Star learning Solutions, a leading learning solution company were the preferred assessment body for the certification of Cold Controls engineers in the Safe Handling of F gases, due to their impressive ability to complete the process within less than half the time of their competitors, without compromising the value of the qualification. The test consists of an online theory, and an intensive practical examination.

Harley Wilkie, (Sales Manager at Star Learning Solutions), commented ‘’Cold Control are making the responsible decision to ensure they are covered when the certification becomes compulsory. They will stay ahead of the game provided they continue to invest as much time into their employees as they do their customers’’.

The Certification is more advanced than the basic Safe handling qualification required by all handlers of Ozone depleting substances (ODS). The proactive decision to phase in this certification demonstrates Cold Control’s dedication and commitment to ensuring all service engineers are highly qualified and are fully prepared for the 4th July 2011 deadline, when all handlers of refrigeration and air-conditioning will be required to hold a certificate of safe handling in F gases.

All industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems must be checked by certified personnel at least once a year. Cold Control, have official F gases certification and provide a dedicated maintenance service, offering a 24 hour friendly, honest and professional service from installation through to service planned maintenance. Cold Control further extend their service offering by assisting and guiding companies in keeping comprehensive records of types and quality of F gas in their systems to ensure companies are fully compliant with Government legislations.

Harley Fleming, a recently qualified Cold Control engineer in safe handling of F gases comments, ‘‘The new F gas course was well structured and held a good level of knowledge. It is great to know that our clients will have complete peace of mind that Cold Control are not only able, but are also legally certified to carry out an environmentally friendly service, whilst complying with the latest government legislation.  My level of understanding has improved and I am now able to take my skills further in the industry’’.
