LKNSavings.com Announces Success As It Completes One-Year Anniversary

LKNSavings.com turned one this Sunday.  Lori Frascati and Jennifer Cochrane created LKNSavings.com because they saw a need for a local website that brought together information about great deals, coupons, promotions, and events in the Lake Norman area.  Clearly, residents agree as LKNSavings.com’s popularity is skyrocketing.  The website will have roughly 15,000 visitors this month alone, an increase of 40% in the last three months.

“We feel strongly that it is the local businesses that make the Lake Norman area both charming and vibrant,” says Cochrane.  “The Lake Norman area has so much to offer.  At the same time, the area is changing rapidly.  LKNSavings.com makes it easy for consumers to learn about local businesses and save money when they shop, dine, and take advantage of professional services in Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville and adjacent towns.”    

Fundamental to LKNSavings.com’s mission is the goal of increasing traffic to local businesses.  The co-founders are strong proponents of the “Buy Local” concept and work actively with the Lake Norman and Mooresville-South Iredell chapters of the Chamber of Commerce as well as Visit Lake Norman and local merchant groups including Destination Huntersville, Downtown Davidson Inc, and the Mooresville Downtown Commission.  “We often hear from local businesses that they have benefited from new business almost immediately after participating on LKNSavings.com.  That is what this is all about.  At the same time, we hear from consumers who are excited about the money they’ve saved from taking advantage of the coupons and sales listed on LKNSavings.com.  It’s a win-win situation on both sides of the transaction,” says Frascati.

.com also offers an incredibly comprehensive community calendar where residents and visitors can find arts and cultural events, family events and festivals, and activities for every age and interest from story times for the little ones to fitness classes for seniors.  The calendar also provides information on free seminars, as well as church and charity events.  “We are constantly amazed at how much there is to see and do every day of the week,” says Frascati.  “The Lake Norman community has a lot of heart and creativity.  That’s what makes it such a wonderful place to live.”

Consumers can sign up for LKNSavings.com’s weekly “Top Picks” email which highlights a variety of deals and events each week.  The email service has close to 5,000 subscribers.  Consumers can also follow LKNSavings.com on Twitter and Facebook.

In addition to the business specials and calendar of events, consumers can find information about where to find free WiFi, kids eat free promotions, restaurant and drink specials by day of the week, gas prices, useful local links, and a wealth of other information on LKNSavings.com.  

What’s next for LKNSavings.com?  Soon LKNSavings.com will offer a text messaging capability so that consumers can have coupons sent right to their phones when they are out enjoying themselves in Lake Norman.  “Coupon text message is rapidly gaining popularity.  Not only is it convenient, it’s also a “green” practice since consumers are not required to print coupons,” says Cochrane.
