CARY, N.C. – Strategic Guru, a Triangle-based marketing and communications agency, has been recognized as a two-time Platinum Award winner in the 2009 MarCom Awards sponsored by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The company also earned an Honorable Mention for a personalized URL (PURL) postcard for environmental consulting firm Piedmont Geologic.
A Platinum Award was given for the corporate re-branding campaign created for Fuse Graphics, an Atlanta-based print, graphics and marketing organization. In order to communicate the new value proposition developed for Fuse Graphics, the firm’s brand was refreshed with a new corporate identity including logo, collateral and website.
A second Platinum Award was conferred for a brochure design for Knowledge Vector, Inc (KVI). An event-based middleware firm, KVI required a corporate brochure that clearly and succinctly described the
complex product and its features/benefits. The brochure design focused on an easy-to-understand graphic that demonstrated the product’s workflow and functionality.

The MarCom Awards is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials. Judging is provided by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) who looks for companies whose talent exceeds an established high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
