Julia's House is Dorset's only hospice dedicated to the children with life limiting conditions. The children’s hospice also compliments the work of Julia's House community team, comprising of 70 nurses and carers who travel the county providing invaluable life changing support for families in their own homes.
This was the first fundraising challenge the 4 star hotel in Bournemouth participated in as it strives to raise £10,000 for the charity over the next 12 months. The Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel has been actively supporting Julia’s House for the past 2 years hosting the corporate fundraising committee meeting every other month, encouraging associates to donate through the national scheme Payroll Giving and the involvement in the successful Beach Fun Day in July this year, which raised over £10,000.
“Julia’s House is an incredible charity for children and parents in very difficult situations, as most of the children will not live into adulthood. Working in conjunction with Julia’s House, our goal is to make their life as enjoyable as possible” said Gareth Marsh, Director of Operations at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel and who is also part of Julia’s House Corporate Fundraising Committee.
The Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel was able to raise £1,000 for the Halloween Abseil Fundraising Challenge. You can still donate through the Just Giving Website: http://www.justgiving.com/
