MILO - CCKPS - HASu Sports For A Healthy Lifestyle

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 03, 2009 – Chua Chu Kang Primary School together with HASu.com and MILO are riding on the wave of the upcoming SEA Games and Youth Olympics in the West 2 Cluster Schools by holding the inaugural Sports Xtravaganza.

MILO is the main and beverage sponsor, whereas HASu.com is the organizer for this event.

Chua Chu Kang Primary School will be the venue of the W2 Sports Challenge, which is part of the school’s Sports Xtravaganza.

The W2 Sports Challenge will see 7 primary schools from the W2 Cluster taking part in sports events - soccer, floor ball, basketball and Captain’s ball.

The objective of this event is to encourage sports participation amongst students. It is to the masses’ knowledge that the current generation prefers to stay indoors and hook online instead of engaging in healthy physical activities.

The unique concept of the Sports Xtravaganza is that it involves mixed teams who are in the overweight and obese category.

This is to encourage mass participation of sports. At the same time, we are emphasizing that sports are not only for the elites.

The 3 core Olympic values, Excellence, Friendship and Respect, will be emphasized to the students prior to the event.

The event will also be broadcast ‘Live’ on HASu.com via video streaming technology, using UStream.tv.

The prize presentation will be held on the competition day itself, complete with singing of the National Anthem with the winners on stage.
