Joseph Tibman, author of the critically acclaimed new Lehman Brothers book, "The Murder of Lehman Brothers, An Insider's Look at the Global Meltdown," cautions that little has changed since the Lehman collapse that would prevent another financial cataclysm.
Tibman recounts circumstances for the decision by Secretary Paulson to allow Lehman to file for bankruptcy. He then speaks of his experiences with the media and observations during the week of the Lehman bankruptcy anniversary. Tibman comments on the nature of media coverage during this period, contrasting it with media coverage a year earlier at the time of the actual bankruptcy. He also comments on President Obama's speech to Wall Street, and on the merits of the overall government action since the inception of the post-Lehman bankruptcy financial crisis.
Summing up, Tibman concludes that we remain at risk of another financial meltdown.
