Camp Bow Wow Kemah Celebrates A Furry First Year With Customer Appreciation Week

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 02, 2009 – Break out the doggy treats! Camp Bow Wow Kemah has been open a year and the barks just keep getting bigger.

“Opening just after Hurricane Ike brought its challenges, but the first year has been great.  While we’ve welcomed a lot of new campers into camp, we’ve also done our best to help the animal community as well,” said franchisee Jennifer Zuniga.

Since its opening a year ago, the camp has flourished as word has spread about how much fun our furry friends have each day. Campers love the indoor and outdoor play areas, the pools and the attention they get from our Certified Camp Counselors. Even more, they dig the chance to hang out with their puppy pals and just be dogs.

Their guardians also appreciate the service. Camp Bow Wow boasts one counselor for every 15 dogs, and counselors are trained in Pet First Aid and Pet CPR. When puppy parents have to be out of town, they’re secure in the knowledge that their furry family members are staying someplace where everyone knows their name. Overnight campers sleep in cabins complete with fleece lined cots and campfire treats, to make the time away from home less stressful and more fun, and guardians can check out the action over our Web-based Camper Cams.

Camp Bow Wow Kemah has also hosted a variety of events to benefit local organizations.  Cupids and Canines was held in February.  A National Dog Day celebration was held in August, and a Howl-O-Ween Party raised $500 for the Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas.  Bay Area Pet Adoptions, Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue, and A New Dawn Pet Adoption Center have all benefitted from fundraisers at the camp.

November 9-13 is Customer Appreciation Week at Camp Bow Wow.  All daycare and boarding packages will be available for 15% off and all baths will be half price in addition to other daily specials.  Visit the camp for details.
