The annual event focused on methods key to improving simulator effectiveness, and training programs that deliver safer and more productive equipment operators in the field. The Perth event followed the recent Americas User Group held in June 2009, which saw record numbers of customers attending from its extensive customer base across North and South America.
Delegates attending the Perth forum heard presentations from customers including Equinox Minerals Ltd (Africa), Newmont Boddington Gold Mine (Australia), Lihir Gold Ltd (PNG), Morobe Mining Joint Venture (PNG), HWE Mining (Australia) and Peabody (USA), together with a range of presentations and hands-on workshops conducted by Immersive Technologies.
Chief Executive Officer of Immersive Technologies Peter Salfinger said, “It is great to see our global customer base continuing to increase their levels of simulation usage to achieve substantial increases in safety and profitability.”
Salfinger continued, “These forums provide another opportunity for Immersive Technologies to work closely with its customers in order to build on our joint success.”
Customers were able to try the latest product offerings from Immersive Technologies, including new Conversion Kit® machine modules and the Light Vehicle Simulator (LVS), together with a range of ongoing software enhancements.
