PEOPLE in Scarborough could have the chance of starring in a major television advertising campaign for a leading green mobile phone company.
Envirofone is hoping to find 10 talented TV hopefuls to star in next year’s campaign to promote the online mobile phone recycling site.
The company is on the lookout for people from all over the country who have a burning desire to star in the new ADVERTISEMENT commercial which follows the success of the company’s current advert.
Julie Graves, Envirofone’s head of marketing, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our customers to showcase their desire to help the planet, get really involved in what we do and also get their five minutes of fame.
“You never know it could be the start of a fabulous career in TV. We’ve received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from our customers via social networking sites about our current advert so, we thought, what better way to get them involved in the process than by inviting them along?”
The new campaign will go on air in early 2010, no acting credentials are required and all entrants must either be current Envirofone customers or be able to demonstrate to the audition panel their support for recycling and reuse in today’s environment.
Jon Butler, Envirofone’s creative and brand manager, said that further details of the online TV audition would be launched via the Envirofone’s website, Twitter and YouTube pages.
He added that applicants would be asked to upload a three minute video to showcase both their acting talents and green credentials. “We will then select 30 people for the final auditions to be held in London later this year,” he said. “We’re also interested in hearing from budding musicians or producers who want to have a crack at creating the music to accompany the advert.”
