New local search engine in The Bahamas called BahamasLocal.com geared to help market & local busines

Chief Executive Officer of BahamasLocal.com Jason McDowall along with local shareholders, Dayne and Dionisio D'Aguilar, the owners of Super Wash Laundromat in The Bahamas have apparently invented what appears to be a winning formula that will significantly change the face of advertising and marketing for local businesses and The Bahamas, as a whole as a leading tourist destination. Also apart of the six-member BahamasLocal.com team is Director of Sales and Marketing, Kurt Melnechuk.

www.BahamasLocal.com affords local business owners with an opportunity to list their company's actual name, location, contact information and general description for free, by logging onto the search engine www.BahamasLocal.com. The local search engine also features up to date news, information, movie section, classifieds and current events on The Bahamas, a real estate and weather section. The search engine is also a great source for visitors wishing to learn more about The Bahamas.

"We have been working on BahamasLocal.com for the past three years and it has grown tremendously to the point that we now have a phenomenal search engine in place. Currently we have close to 15,000 businesses based in The Bahamas in our database," commented Mr. McDowall.

With over 10 years of internet experience under his belt, Mr. McDowall explained that the idea of BahamasLocal.com was born a few years after he came to The Bahamas, while attempting to search the internet for various businesses located here in the country. He noted that it was difficult trying to find information on line about local businesses and so the idea of www.BahamasLocal.com was born.

"One of the good things about BahamasLocal.com is that every business owner in The Bahamas whether or not they have a website to promote their business, can now have a web presence whereby they can actually update and edit their company's information. There are very few website or internet products like that…," Mr. McDowall added.

"We felt that there was a void and that there was definitely a need for a local internet search engine that would be exclusive for local businesses based in The Bahamas. My family is most delighted to partner in this most exciting business venture, which will no doubt tremendously assist local businesses here in The Bahamas " commented Mr. Dayne D'Aguilar.

Mr. Melnechuk explained that persons searching the web for a particular local based company in The Bahamas, for instance a restaurant or night club can simply do so by going through their internet's designated web page, where they will receive a number of search options which will provide them with a link to Bahamaslocal.com. Or he said that persons can log on directly to BahamasLocal.com and use the search engine's search box.

While commenting on BahamasLocal.com's new design Melnechuk said, "The idea was to make it interesting. We did not want it to look like a directory or a search engine. We wanted it to be informative and colourful and depict a lot about The Bahamas by using tropical colours."
