Northwest Media Launches Revamped Web Site

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 02, 2009 – Northwest Media, Inc., parent company of Foster Parent College.com, Vstreet.com and SocialLearning.com, has fully revamped its corporate Web site, northwestmedia.com. The site went live on October 31, 2009.

The new Web site contains updated information about all three divisions of the company and provides a clearer picture of its operations, mission and accomplishments. A section titled Research details grants received, research conducted, strategic partnerships and current grant-funded projects. The reorganized Products page provides quick-click links to product detail sheets for all 100+ Northwest Media books, cds and DVDs. PDFs of charts demonstrating how Vstreet.com meets Ansell-Casey Life Skills Assessments and Job Corps Competencies are now available from the Vstreet.com sub-page.

Northwest Media was founded in 1985 as an independent producer of social learning video and print training resources.

In 2002 it launched Vstreet.com, an online life skills training center for teens which is used widely in private homes, schools, juvenile justice centers and programs for at-risk youth.

SocialLearning.com debuted in 2003 and now markets 1,300 products to 14,000 clients.

Foster Parent College went live in 2005. It provides online courses for foster, adoptive and kinship parents. It is the first and only online resource parent training program to be rated by the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare. FPC is endorsed by the Canadian Foster Family Association and approved by CASA and National Adoption Center.
