Recently Faces in the Crowd held their award winning monthly showcase in Times Square. The event featured an incredible performance by Jean Grae & Mela Machinko a cameo by rap icon Pharoah Monch as well as performances by many other exciting upcoming Hip Hop and R & B acts. The Faces in the Crowd showcase competition was judged by a who's who of industry insiders. Newcomers the LFL (Line for Line) were also in attendance as competitiors and performed their gritty NYC anthem "Son", the first single from their forthcoming self titled debut album. The hard hitting track composed by LFL producer G Ryder left the audience and judges stunned and the group took home first place honors.
The LFL will return to Faces in the Crowd as the featured act in December.
The self titled Line for Line debut album is slated for release on November 6th 2009 to celebrate the group will be hosting an album release party on the same date at Club BLVD 199 Bowery St. NY, NY doors open at 8:00 pm which feature live performances of cuts from the album. Their complimentary pre album mixtape "The Scrimmage" has gained popularity and has increased the anticipation for the release.
