October 26, 2009 (Houston, TX)—Buzzfest XXIII literally rolled out a red carpet backstage leading bands to the Backstage Artist Lounge where bands received gifts from official sponsors including Xtreme Lashes, Watto Distinctive Metal Wear, Tejas Custom Boots, Sweet Leaf Tea, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, The Horror Project, Anama Clothing, Strings By Aurora, Guitar Hands, Hard Rock Café, Kingman Training, CREAM, Hunter and Logan, Party Cloths of Houston and Forged Clothing.
Buzzfest XXIII was the last tour date of the 2009 Backstage Artist Lounge, hosted once again by personality, Christina Martin. This particular Backstage Artist Lounge was attended by the entire Buzzfest XXIII line-up: Alice In Chains, Puddle of Mudd, Jet, Chevelle, Saving Able, Aranda, Earshot, Framing Hanley, Tantric, Our Lady Peace and The Veer Union, Billy Boy On Poison and Janus.
Xtreme Lashes once again featured eyeliners and eyelash care products to the band members. Tejas Custom Boots displayed their fine craftsmanship including boots and bags made from sting ray, alligator and bull frog. Hard Rock Café supplied the actual bags for bands to hold all their gifts, which also included colored guitar strings by Aurora. Watto Distinctive Metal Wear gifted the rock stars awesome belt buckles. Kingman Training gifted the bands 11mm Paintball markers, the next big thing in action sports. Guitar Hands gifted their novel cleansing lotion made especially for guitarists’ hands. Bands were dressed by wardrobe sponsors including Forged Clothing, Cardboard Robot, Anama Clothing, and The Horror Project. Sweet Leaf Tea and Tito’s Handmade Vodka provided delicious drinks for the bands all day inside the Backstage Artist Lounge.
To benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Burton donated a snowboard which was autographed by all the bands in the line-up. To benefit the Covenant House, Rollerblade donated a pair of Fusion X7 skates which were autographed by the entire line-up as well. In addition, Tejas Custom Boots donated a leather accessory autographed by all the bands to benefit The Rose, which is the charity designated by Hard Rock in honor of Hard Rock’s “Pinktober”
