Robot Swarms 'Evolve' Effective Communication

Swiss scientists have proven that robots can be programmed to work together. How can online marketers put the same principle to work for them?

Nov. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- Brattleboro VT.,Have you seen the tests online showing how a group of robots can determine the difference between lighted disks that represent food and poison? If you haven't just Google "robotic genome Switzerland" and you'll find the video showing how that works. The whole point of this is the discovery of robots actually working together. The robots that found the food signaled the others so that they could find it too, and in rare circumstances, sent false signals just so they could keep the food for themselves. They were mirroring human behaviors.

In a way, it's a very interesting development. In another, when thinking of movies like "I, Robot," for example, it's a little scary, too. But let's focus on the positive aspects of that study and how it applies to marketing.

The good robots had the whole team work thing down. They found the "food" and passed the information along. Isn't that how joint ventures work in business? It's about people helping each other to gain greater success individually.

Joint ventures don't have to be "I mail for you; you mail for me." They can be about teamwork. Let's say you're new to the whole online marketing thing. You don't know anything about lead generation, blogging, getting traffic, graphic design, or the myriad things that Internet marketers have to deal with every day. These are skills that it takes a while to learn to do yourself, though it's really not that difficult, once you know what it is you're doing.

But let's say that you're not willing to wait long enough to train yourself to do these things before getting to the money. What can you do?

Find other partners that do know how to do these things. Band with a technical person and a copywriter, for example. That way, you can get a squeeze page up and running in no time, and your lead generation begins. Then, you'll need traffic, so you might want to bring in someone who knows how to get traffic. The bottom line is that you'll all be helping each other to achieve success.

Once you have the system, doing ad swaps with other marketers is another great way to joint venture. Find people with similar list sizes and mail their offers to your list, while they mail your offer to theirs. You'll have lots of people coming to squeeze page, and your list will be growing. As you probably guess, lead generation is the most important facet of getting your online business humming.

Sometimes, people have trouble finding joint venture partners. At the ListBuilding Club, you'll find an active joint venture forum where bonds are forged for life. Or, if you're the adventurous type, you can cut your learning curve in half with our step-by-step video training.
