A Scottish Designer Launches New Luxury Footwear Label in the Face of Recession.

Nov. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Gaynor Darling originally from Scotland, left her job as a nurse overseas and flew to Milan where she attended a school for footwear design and manufacture. The course covered the process of design and importantly the technical skills required to turn ideas and sketches into wearable footwear.  
After an intense period of study Gaynor decided to start her own business despite a global recession.  Gaynor found  the industry  looking for new designers to kickstart their business  after recession left a lot of unfilled order books and uncertainty for the future, especially for traditional  family run l shoemaking factories in northern Italy.  
The collection, aimed at women in their 20's to 30's is an incredibly sensual offering to fashion.   Inspired by corsetry and the glamour of the 1950's, her designs have a contemporary edge which play on the irony between demure and daring.  Gaynor made sure that quality has not been overlooked, on the contrary.  The leather comes only from tanneries in Italy and the shoes are manufactured to precision by a family run factory in the famous shoe making town of Parabiago whose skills have been passed down over the years.
