NOVI, MI (November 2, 2009) -- Here’s a good news story everyone can enjoy!  Of all the accomplishments a young man can achieve, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout is one of the highest.  But, imagine triplet brothers reaching that lofty goal – all at the same time!  Never before in the history of Boy Scouting have triplets reached the esteemed status of Eagle Scout – and certainly never concurrently!

This is a true family celebration!  Kevin, Eric and Michael Pasquale of Novi, Michigan have done just that!  Members of Troop 903 in Northville, Michigan, their unique achievements are a true cause for celebration in the Pasquale household.  Proud parents, Jean and Bill Pasquale, were themselves amazed at the achievement of these astounding young men - just 15 years old at the time of their Eagle Scout certification, December 28, 2008.

Bill Pasquale said, “Usually, Eagle Scouts have to reach the age of at least 18 before they pass all the challenges, projects and requirements that allow this honor.  They were born on the almost comical date of April 1, 1993.  But, no fooling, these guys immediately let us know that life for us would never be the same!  They are as unique as individuals as three totally unrelated boys could be.  No ‘Huey, Dewey and Louie,’ each boy had a distinct personality almost from birth.  As they began to grow, mature and enter various phases of their lives, it became more and more evident.”

Always concerned about the wellbeing of other people, even at age 8, they began the worthy task of providing help to the less fortunate through the Christmas “Gifts for Seniors Program” at a group home, something they continued annually for the next five years.

Most recently, in summer, 2008, in preparation for their Eagle Scout qualification, they undertook a $20,000.00 interior and exterior renovation project at First Baptist Church of Novi, including personally painting the entire church, two inside and one outside, and obtaining the services of contractors to make additional repairs gratis.  The church’s pastor, Rev. Gary Elfner, said, “We are truly blessed to have Eric, Kevin and Michael in our lives.  Their tireless efforts on our behalf resulted in an amazing transformation of our church, which needed about $20,000 worth of repairs.  They accomplished it all for us without costing us a penny.  It was, indeed, a small miracle.”

Superior students and well-rounded at Novi High School, each of them has exhibited a natural talent for music, sports and other diversified interests, remaining individuals and compassionate human beings through it all.

Bill and Jean Pasquale are currently compiling letters and certificates of recognition that will be placed in three special presentation albums - one for each of them - at their Eagle Court of Honor on November 22 of this year.  These presentation albums will become treasured lifelong heirlooms for them as they continue their educations though high school and college, preparing for adult life. Letters from various government officials, including President Barack Obama, are being solicited.

The Pasquale triplets are just one more example of how parental love and encouragement, combined with their personal commitments and passion for excellence, have shaped these fine young men into today’s and tomorrow’s outstanding Americans.
