Follow on Google News | Instead of "Boo!", Readers are saying "Pookoo!"The watch word for 2010 is from an off-beat novel about a sports hero and a lobster mascot and the woman loved by both. But what just what does "Pookoo" mean?
It's now available as an e book for Amazon.com's Kindle book reader. http://www.amazon.com/ "Pookoo" is what the main character says after a series of near-death experiences and is a word he uses to use in the movie of his life. Its author doesn't want to spoil any more on the various connexions the word has. This offbeat novel set in Chicago, circa 1991, is about celebrity worship, told by an out-of-work proofreader about his friend Katlin Hillmacher, a fallen, if not rather randy sports hero. A love triangle between Julie Warner, a 30-ish woman who works in a bank as a mortgage loan officer. Both men are married. "The European sensibility is ripe for understanding my work," Shiloh said. "Stateside we're on a different curve. Luckily, I can tune into my favourite programmes - Dr. Who and The Mighty Boosh." Merchandise from the novel is available online at http://www.zazzle.com/ Shiloh added that one day he would enjoy touring the U.K. with a meet-the-author bookstore event. "It depends on how many shops and universities are interested." # # # Homefield Multimedia is a multimedia group using new media technology, publishing books, CDs and DVDs. End
