Outso About To Launch New Online Music Community - Mixm8

Oct. 31, 2009 - PRLog -- Mixm8 is an online music community and social world currently in development by Outso - The Virtual World Designers. The new world will cater for a wide range of music fans, from all walks of life, with the focus on bringing these individuals together due to common musical interests.

The online world will consist of design and stylistic themes which are at the cutting edge of youth and music culture. Unlike many of the virtual music communities currently operating on the web, Mixm8 has been heavily weighted in design aspects, as Outso believe this to be an area which many social music websites have failed to master.

The screenshots, avatars and environments that have already been previewed on the Mixm8 site show a world which will be heavily based on urban music environments, featuring graffiti clad cityscapes and cool clubbing environments.

Activities which users can take advantage of in the virtual world will vary to include clubbing, swapping music files, buying music and sharing views with like minded individuals. You will even be able to have your own virtual nightclub or venue, private or public. You will then be able to try and build up your club or night by recruiting new fans. If you establish your club enough it has the possibility of becoming a Super Club. You can also sell your artwork, collect artwork, follow your favorite bands and have a great time.

There are also solid revenue collection systems in place to ensure the commercial viability of the virtual world. Bands and artists will be able to sell and market their music back catalog which will ensure the virtual world will attract new music resources as well as music fans.

Mixm8 is for 16 years and upwards and there will most likely be things in Mixm8 that are considered adult in nature. So content will not be suitable for youngsters. There might be risque language but main premise is that Mixm8 is about enjoying music, enjoying socializing and meeting new people with similar musical interests.
