In partnership with the Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley, the Olde Hickory Tap Room continues its community initiative, Going Out and Giving Back, on Tuesday, November 17th. 20% of all food and non-alcoholic beverage sales between 4pm and closing (2am) that evening will be donated to the Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley.
Community members are encouraged to come to the Tap Room the night of Tuesday, November 17th and help the Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley- by having fun. No coupons or forms are required. Take a break from cooking, spend time with family and friends and support a local non-profit organization. A representative from the CareCenter will be at the Tap Room to say thank you and answer questions about the organization.
Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley was founded in 1979 and their team of professionals and volunteers serves more than 200 hospice patients, 100 Palliative Care patients and 100 Transitions clients daily. In 2007 they served over 1500 patients and their families and the numbers continue to grow. The Palliative CareCenter & Hospice offers a comprehensive program of medical care, counseling, and spiritual support for patients and families is offered regardless of diagnosis, age, gender, nationality, race, faith, sexual preference, disability, or ability to pay. They rely on many volunteers and the support of local individuals to keep their commitment to providing high quality care to every client..
The Olde Hickory Tap Room has been a supporter of the local community for many years. The Tap Room is a firm believer that the many non-profit organizations of Hickory improve our community and our lives daily. The employees and volunteers at the heart of these groups should be commended for their dedication. Going Out and Giving Back is a small way of saying "thank you" to everyone.
