Co-hosted by the College and the Bucks County Commissioners' Advisory Council for Women, the conference will focus on the empowerment of women to access opportunities for the full development of their potential through shared community, awareness of resources, and the enrichment of meaningful participation and dialogue.
During Jacobs’s presentation on the Business of Marriage, participants will learn techniques to discuss and clarify financial goals and to create an action plan for financial success and harmony in their spousal relationships. Also, attendees will gain an understanding of frequently used, but often misunderstood, financial terms.
“It is almost unnecessary to restate the negative impact of financial conflict on marriage. It’s a given. Conversely, the positive impact of giving couples the tools to resolve those conflicts is immeasurable and frankly, I want be a resource for that conflict resolution,”
Jacobs is a dynamic speaker and has conducted workshops for Douglass College (Rutgers University), The Star-Ledger, Hewitt Associates, National Council of Negro Women, PECO Energy, Seton Hall Law School, the Girl Scouts of America, among others. She recently authored Life & Money, a personal financial management workbook and guide that provides and reinforces the principals of personal financial management and is also the bedrock of Jacobs’ seminars and workshops.
Conference registration is $35 which includes morning coffee and lunch. If you have questions, please call Marian Colello at 215-968-8140 at Bucks County Community College.
