The Gainesville Crocs were founded in 2007. The original roster was Tyler Ward, Ryan Warm, Blake Schroepfer, Hunter Ruth, Austin Mowry, Chase Demichele, Brooks Walton, Konnor Balch, Chris Henry and Nate Meyer. The Crocs played their first USSSA tournament on December 14, 2007. Just four months later, April 11, 2008, the Crocs finished 3rd in the AAA State Championship in Leesburg, FL. Two weeks later, the Crocs avenged an earlier 6-2 lose to the Jacksonville Jackets by beating them in the Championship game 10-6.
