Ellen Allen, an interior designer turned entrepreneur, will be previewing her debut line of handbags at the Washington DC Design Center. Ellen will be making personal appearances on Thursday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 15 at the Rist Corporation showroom. The Chesapeake Collection consists of handbags, tote bags and silk scarves with designs that are inspired by Annapolis architecture. The products showcased will be a preview of the collection that will officially launch in the Spring of 2010.
“I am very excited to be previewing my debut line of bags at the DC Design Center,” said Ellen Allen. “As an interior designer I’ve spent a lot of time at the Design Center so it is very exciting for me to come back here and showcase my products. I’m very grateful to Pamela Shapiro of Rist Corporation for giving me such a wonderful opportunity as well as planning and promoting this event.”

Born and raised in the Chesapeake Bay area, Ellen has always found inspiration in Maryland’s coastal lifestyle. Locally known for many years for her interior design work in the mid-Atlantic region, she recently launched an accessories line featuring her own proprietary patterns.
