One day when Daisy is walking to school, she stops for a traffic light and gets bored, so she daydreams that her friends are passing by in a parade. There go Samantha and her other imaginary friends marching in the parade. Daisy gets so caught up in her daydream that she doesn’t even notice when the light changes. An old man prods her along to get her on her way. Otherwise, Daisy could still be waiting at that street corner!
And this isn’t the only time Daydreaming Daisy gets into trouble. She gazes out the window during math class, and instead of learning math, dreams about playing on the playground. Because of her daydreaming, her grades begin to suffer.
Instead of scolding Daisy, the school counselor encourages her to join the school’s Daydreamer’s Club, a group for bright, imaginative kids to discuss their favorite daydreams. In the club, Daisy learns that she must control her daydreaming and do it only when appropriate. Happy daydreaming!
