A new song recently penned by Canadian songwriter Michael Dekkers entitled "Hometown Remedy" was named a Top 10 Pick this week on the popular music website broadjam.com. The song debuted at the number five spot after being on the site for just two weeks. The site's Top 10 songs are lists based on the anonymous reviews of broadjam members and reflects their top indie music.
"I think the song has broad appeal because many people have fond memories of the place where they grew up and perhaps more so for people from small towns" Dekkers said. "As adults often leading stress-filled lives it's not surprising that every now and then we long to return to the simple pleasures of childhood".
"Hometown Remedy" is one of five songs Dekkers recently recorded in Nashville.
