At MDI we specialize in short run/low volume custom injection molding with JIT and/or kan ban options. We offer molds built in the US or overseas and prototype molds as well. We have partners that allow us to provide rapid prototype molds, stereo lithography, and selective laser sintering (SLS).
Higher demand projects in the last 12 months are: consumer products, medical, defense and irrigation. Many of our customers had been going to China for their molding needs but are now figuring out that it is more expensive to keep products in China, than to move it back to the states especially for their short run/low volume custom injection molding projects.
