William Raveis’ Russ Pelletier Wins Good Neighbor Award
FALMOUTH, MA – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® has announced that Russ Pelletier of William Raveis Real Estate in Falmouth is the recipient of the 2009 Good Neighbor Award.  

The Good Neighbor Awards recognize REALTORS® who've made an extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of life in their communities through volunteer work.  The award was presented at the annual Professional Awards Banquet.

Mr. Pelletier was recognized for his work with several groups, Wings For Falmouth Families, The Falmouth Military Support Group, The Falmouth Walk and the Falmouth Track Club’s Cape Cod Marathon.

Lisa Asendorf, founder of Wings For Falmouth Families, states that “the Board owes so much to him for his loyalty and commitment to our local charity as well as the growth that the organization has experienced.”

Carole Kenney, of the Falmouth Military Support Group says that “Mr. Pelletier brought our group to the forefront of local non-profits by having us be recognized by the fundraising efforts of community events.  Through his donation of time and effort, he has developed and continues to maintain a web site for us”.

Eddie Doyle, formerly of “Cheers” who with Tommy Leonard founded the Falmouth Walk credits Mr. Pelletier as “a key person on the committee for The Falmouth Walk and his reliability in taking on many small and large challenges has helped make our event a great success”.

“From the moment he moved here, Russ became actively involved in the community and in particular the Falmouth Track Club and volunteered his time, energy, considerable organizational skills, and people skills to a variety of activities” says Court Bird, Race Director of the Cape Cod Marathon.  He adds that “Russ is a very valuable asset to the Falmouth community”.
