Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The Malaysian Ministry of Science and Technology (MOSTI) has awarded Aexio Software the highly coveted Techno Fund Scheme grant. The Techno Fund Scheme is part of the government’s Ninth Malaysia Plan (2006-2010) initiative to stimulate the growth and successful innovation of Malaysian technology-based enterprises by increasing their level of R&D and commercialization.
This competitive grant is awarded to shortlisted companies, who have been identified for their revolutionary and forward thinking development of new and/or cutting edge technologies in five different technology clusters - Biotechnology, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Industry, Sea to Space, and Science and Technology (S&T) Core.
Aexio Software, which falls under the ICT category, is a homegrown, leading independent cellular software and solutions company. The company will undertake the development of an advanced network optimization performance platform which will enable Radio Frequency (RF) Engineers’, to detect and optimize areas where the cellular network has low Quality of Service (QoS).
“We are extremely honoured that the Malaysian government has acknowledged us as pioneers in the Malaysian ICT scene” said Kean Chan, Aexio’s Technology Director, also recognized as the creator of MCOM, a widely used software tool in the RF world today. “R&D assumes a key role in a knowledge-based and innovation driven economy. New and breakthrough technologies, will contribute to the nation’s wealth creation and social well being and I am proud to say that Aexio is part of it” he enthused.
