Los Angeles, California (October 28, 2009)— Your Daily Thread.com is an online community space and magazine that brings good green living to Los Angeles.  The site is the hub for all things green and connects the information with the tastemakers of the movement.  The team at Your Daily Thread (YDT) is proud to announce the re-design of www.yourdailythread.com. The new and improved site features a more interactive user-friendly homepage, in-depth neighborhood green guides (the first one focuses on the Silver Lake area) and YDT TV’s entertaining monthly “How-To Videos” where the team dishes DIY green living tips in a fun, fresh and doable way.  The first two videos, “Green Your Closet” and “Drunken DIY Jamming,” are available for viewing now on the YDT website.

“We’re excited to bring more detailed coverage to the spread out and often isolated neighborhoods of Los Angeles,” says Tracy Hepler, the co-founder and content editor of Your Daily Thread.  Creative director and partner Lauren Johanson chimes in:  “ Oftentimes we don’t realize what great resources we have right in our own backyard, so we’re thrilled to be able to provide this service to our community.”

In addition to the newest features of the site, the popular local green events calendar continues to grow.  “We love having a platform where members in the community can come find or submit events in their neighborhood that help connect them and others to the environment,” says Hepler.

In looking towards 2010, Your Daily Thread is excited about entering new communities and different markets.  New York, Chicago and San Francisco are certainly on the radar for the next city edition.  But for the rest of 2009, Your Daily Thread is all about Los Angeles.  The final months of the year will feature green holiday guides and videos that are certain to educate, inspire and entertain readers of all shades of green.
