“I’m thrilled. Winning this award is exciting and humbling,” Ellis said. “The nominations for the award come from other members of the Chamber of Commerce. Since this came from my peers, it’s really meaningful to me. To be regarded as a leader among business leaders is a great honor.”
The Chamber of Commerce gives out four awards each year: Nonprofit of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Medium Business of the Year, and Best Young Professional under 40. Nominations are generally based on business owners who have had positive impacts on the community.
Ellis said having a business that impacted the community in a good way was a “good feeling,” and the award would not only benefit her, but also ActionCOACH New Jersey.
“To be recognized for the work are doing and our support of small business owners and leaders is great exposure for the results we can provide to the business community,” Ellis said. “This will have a positive impact on our office and ActionCOACH.”
"We are so proud of Cheryl,” Don Schin, Master Licensee of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, said. “It is nice to know her dedication to help build each small business she coaches – giving owners more time, better teams, and more money, is recognized by her local community.”
