Fasting is primarily the act of willingly abstaining from some or all food, drink, or both for a period of time and Donovan believes fasting is the most powerful spiritual discipline of all the Christian disciplines.
“When Christians no longer think about their actions and become indifferent about their consequences, it’s time for a stirring up – an awakening of the Spirit. “
“Fasting is a biblical way to truly humble yourself in the sight of God. Fasting enables the Holy Spirit to reveal your true spiritual condition which results in brokenness, repentance, and a transformed life. According to Scripture and personal experience I’m convinced when God’s people fast with a proper Biblical motive – seeking God’s face not His hand- God will hear from heaven and bring healing to our lives, our communities, and our land.”
