Three-hundred and seventeen healthcare companies participated in this year's healthcare workplace listing - an increase of 34% (or 80 companies) over 2008. Modern Healthcare revealed the specific ranking of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare, from 1 to 100, in a special supplement published October 26, 2009. The supplement also recognized the top places to work by industry segment (provider, payer and vendor) and by number of employees, and profiles some of the recipients.
