Los Angeles, CA— The day before Veteran’s Day, November 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. PST on Ustream.tv, LINK live will bring to the online community an interactive conversation about technology access for veterans.
The web talk show will feature interviews with California Public Utilities Commissioner Rachelle Chong and California Emerging Technology Fund President and CEO Sunne Wright McPeak. Both women have been on the forefront of the digital access and digital literacy movements nationwide. The program will also highlight the efforts, both on and offline, of veterans’ organizations Operation Free and Veterans and Military Families for American Progress.
This is the second in a series of shows focusing on veterans and the information economy. The LINK live team brings citizens a live online conversation between business leaders, veteran’s affairs experts, workforce training experts, and citizens about how to prepare our veterans for entry/re-entry into the workforce. The LINK live team has created a web platform utilizing a comprehensive set of social media tools, from microblogging services, such as Twitter, to video communities, like YouTube and Ustream.tv. Using the live blogging platform ScribbleLive, LINK live is able to offer online users the ability to translate the live blog into Spanish, French, German, and other languages.
